Uganda’s wildlife spectacle
QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Queen Elizabeth National Park is a wildlife paradise, stretching from the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains to the shores of Lake Edward. The park is famed for its tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector and its rich variety of bird species—over 600 recorded, making it a birdwatcher’s dream. The Kazinga Channel, which links Lake Edward and Lake George, is a magnet for wildlife, offering some of the best boat safaris in Africa. Here, visitors can spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birds in their natural habitat. The park’s diverse landscapes, from open savannah to dense forests and sparkling crater lakes, make it a visually stunning destination.
