The Lodge

Sabyinyo Wilderness Lodge consists of eight spacious stone cottages, including six guest cottages, one family suite, and one larger suite, all designed with comfort and privacy in mind. Each cottage is elegantly furnished with local Rwandan textiles, handcrafted wooden furniture, and contemporary African décor. A cozy living area with a fireplace is ideal for chilly mountain evenings, while the en-suite bathrooms feature luxurious soaking tubs and modern amenities. Private verandas offer sweeping views of the volcanic peaks and lush forested hills, creating a serene environment for guests to unwind after a day of exploration.

The lodge’s family cottage offers two bedrooms with en-suite facilities, a shared living area, and a private deck, making it an excellent choice for families or small groups seeking a more spacious and intimate setting.

Dining Experience

Dining at Sabyinyo Wilderness Lodge is a refined yet relaxed experience, featuring a blend of international cuisine and traditional Rwandan flavors. Activities & Wildlife

Sabyinyo Wilderness Lodge is ideally positioned for guests to partake in the unforgettable experience of gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park. Led by expert guides, these treks take guests deep into the forest to observe mountain gorillas in their natural environment. The treks can be physically challenging but are immensely rewarding, offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see these majestic creatures up close.

In addition to gorilla trekking, the lodge offers a range of other activities, including guided nature walks, birdwatching excursions, and cultural visits to nearby villages.
