Letaka Mobile Camps

Our mobile camps, equipped to move as needed across Botswana, position themselves near the heart of the action, ensuring that guests are always in proximity to Botswana’s rich wildlife and landscapes. Each camp setup emphasizes both authenticity and comfort, crafting a safari experience that fully immerses you in the wilderness without sacrificing essential comforts.

The Camp

The spacious 4x3m Sahara-style tents with high roofs create a restful atmosphere within the bush. Each tent includes a 2x3m en-suite bathroom and a shaded 2x3m veranda, providing areas for both relaxation and practicality. Inside, guests will find solid base camp beds outfitted with mattresses, sheets, duvets, and pillows for a restful night’s sleep. An en-suite long-drop toilet and a traditional bucket shower, with water heated over the fire, complete each tent’s facilities. Showers can be ordered to your preference—hot, cold, or warm—allowing you to freshen up in a way that fits with the flow of each day. However, on Kalahari safaris, where water resources are more limited, our guides may restrict water use based on availability.

Dining

The dining experience at our mobile camps is as dynamic as the landscapes we travel through. Meals are served in a communal dining area, fostering camaraderie among fellow adventurers. Each day brings a new, freshly prepared menu, featuring hearty bush cuisine that celebrates local flavors. Guests are treated to a selection of beverages, including sundowners that round out each evening under the vast African sky.

Activities

With every move of the camp, we adapt the activities to the unique rhythms of each location, offering game drives, mokoro excursions, walking safaris, and night drives depending on the region. Guides are not only well-versed in the art of tracking and interpreting nature’s signs but are also passionate storytellers who enrich each experience with knowledge about the local ecosystem.
