The Camp

Nestled under ancient ebony and leadwood trees, Camp Moremi blends seamlessly into its natural surroundings, with thatched communal areas and stylish safari tents designed to enhance the experience of staying in the bush. The elevated decks offer sweeping views of the lagoon, making it an ideal spot to relax between game drives or enjoy a meal while soaking in the beauty of the Okavango Delta.

The central lodge, built in a traditional African style with timber and thatch, houses the bar, lounge, and dining areas, all designed to offer panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness. The camp also features a swimming pool, perfect for cooling off during the heat of the day, as well as a wildlife viewing platform for watching the ever-present action around the lagoon.

Accommodation

Camp Moremi offers 12 luxury safari tents, each carefully placed to ensure privacy and comfort while maintaining a strong connection to nature. The tents are spacious and well-appointed, with en-suite bathrooms, modern furnishings, and large private decks that provide perfect vantage points for watching wildlife or simply enjoying the tranquility of the delta.

The tents are designed with a blend of contemporary elegance and traditional safari style, featuring canvas walls that allow guests to experience the sights and sounds of the wilderness without sacrificing comfort. Each tent has a cozy seating area, plush beds draped in mosquito nets, and open-plan bathrooms with hot showers and flush toilets, ensuring an authentic yet luxurious bush experience.

At Camp Moremi, dining is an integral part of the safari experience. Meals are enjoyed in the open-air boma or the thatched dining room, offering guests a chance to savor delicious cuisine while surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African bush. Camp Moremi offers a range of exciting activities designed to immerse guests in the natural beauty and wildlife of the Moremi Game Reserve and the Okavango Delta.

• Game Drives: Twice-daily game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles take guests deep into the Moremi Game Reserve. The area is known for its remarkable diversity of wildlife, including large herds of elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, and a variety of antelope species. The experienced guides at Camp Moremi are highly knowledgeable, providing insights into the behavior of the animals and the ecology of the delta.

• Boat Safaris: Exploring the Okavango Delta’s waterways by boat offers a completely different perspective on the landscape and its inhabitants. Guests can glide through the lagoons and channels of the Xakanaxa area, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and a wealth of birdlife, including the vibrant Malachite Kingfisher and the rare Pel’s Fishing Owl.
